Younger boy?

well, theres this guy in my town who i started talking to two years ago. he's 14, and i'm 14, but i'm going to be a sophmore and he's going to be a freshman next year. he liked me when we first met, on im one night he told me and then signed off, but we never went out or anything, and he had other girlfriends, although i always got a strong feeling from him that he liked me. i thought he was really cute, but i'm really tall, and he's really short, so i felt like it would be weird, and made me notice the age gap between us more, even though its only four months. then this year, he made out with this really slutty, bad news 16 year old girl, after i told him to stay away frmo her because she goes after boys much younger then her. he also told her that i said not to do anything with her, and i got mad and we stopped talking. i saw him a couple more times this year, all the time its been kind of awkward and unfriendly. now though it seems like he likes me again. help?
