Kindom Hearts II- Do I battle Roxas?

I saw a video on youtube and this guy battled Roxas as Sora in Kingdom Hearts II. It was when Roxas took Sora to the Station of Serenity. For American version you watch a video of them fighting. in the Japanese version do you get to actaully fight him? Or can you battle him in American but you must perform something? Please help me.
